Creative Builders Workshops

Community Builders

What makes a good community? Pupils work as a team to build a community inclusive for everyone

About The Workshop

The focus of the Community Builders workshop is to teach pupils about the importance of living in our British community. Using LEGO® bricks they will be asked to build a community which shows our national identity by building different types of homes, places of worship, sustainable development; it needs to reflect our values and customs and show how they can support others. As well as this, pupils will be challenged to be inclusive of others through mutual respect by team building.

This workshop is suitable for pupils from reception age to year 6 and works well with large groups taking part. These groups can be single year groups or mixed year groups.

Organise Your Day

The workshop works as either a full day consisting of a morning session with one group of up to 70 children and an afternoon session with another group of up to 70 children, or a half day consisting of a single morning session with up to 70 children.

General Information

Sessions usually take place in the school hall although this is flexible and we can set up in the classroom if one class is taking part. Ideally we need tables to work at and chairs are not required.
